As an online retailer, we are particularly aware of the great responsibility we have towards our environment. That is why at Cala Rose we try to make full use of all possibilities to reduce and avoid waste wherever we can.
What does this mean and how can you support us?
We source our jewelry from Europe, some pieces even directly from Germany, thus reducing unnecessarily long transport routes and unnecessary CO2 emissions.
Boxes: Our shipping boxes have 9 lives... not necessarily 9, but we try to reuse all boxes that are returned to us as often as possible. This reduces waste. So if your box has slight marks, it has already been on a journey. We only reuse boxes that are still in good condition and can transport your jewelry to you safely and soundly.
DHL: Unfortunately, it often happens that goods do not reach you at all and are returned to us unopened because the shipment was not picked up and the storage period was exceeded. This causes unnecessary costs and unnecessary CO2 emissions - both of which are annoying. Please note that in this case we have to deduct our actual costs for shipping there and back, which amount to 8 euros for domestic shipments.
How can you support us? Buy consciously to avoid unnecessary returns and pay attention to your shipment tracking. After shipping, you will receive your shipment number, which you can use to locate your shipment at any time, as DHL often forgets to put a card in the mailbox. Together, we can prevent goods from being sent back and forth unnecessarily. If you are unable to locate your shipment, contact us and we will send a direct query to DHL about the whereabouts of your shipment.
Packaging: We avoid plastic in all our packaging and use recyclable material. Our jewelry boxes are FSC certified.
